In the past three days all three nestlings have fledged, beginning with short flights to other branches in the nesting tree. Typical hatch weights are 35 grams (1.2 oz); they should now weigh approximately 500 grams (1.1 lb). The fledglings are still fed in the nest and they spend nights there, sleeping until mid-morning. They will remain in the nesting area for another month, practicing their flying and hunting skills under their parents' watch. Updates will continue...
